The Gu Zheng or ancient zheng dates back to around 200BC, when it had as few as five strings. is the ancestor of the Japanese Koto. Gu means ancient.Tunings and Fingerings
Tuned pentatonically Do, Re, Mi, So, and La, but Fa and Ti can also be produced by pressing the strings to the left of the bridges.
